We see a smooth flow of Time, but it is an illusion. It is part of the construct between our perception of right now and our memory in the right now. As we look closer its flow is always perceived of as even and continuous. We never perceive the individual grains the flow is riding on.
My Spirit Guide, See Do, taught me that Time does not exist, but that Time is all we perceive. He also taught that there is only one thing. And that this temporal reality and everything in it are an expression of the one thing. Being outside of our illusions of Time and Space, it has no beginning or end, no size.
I have talked about the resonant energies within us that create our world. But within the construct of our perceptions of this temporal reality we see this thing we call “Time” passing. What was “now,” is now a memory and a new “now” flows from the previous. Sometimes big changes can occur between the two perceived moments. Sometimes just thousands of tiny changes.
I tried many analogies to try and understand what See Do was saying, but he would invariable reject these as unhelpful. According to See Do it is better to “see” the full complexity. So here it is:
There is only one thing. And it moves through each of us. In fact, it is each of us, as there is obviously no alternative identity. There is only one thing.
The one thing creates the stimuli that we each perceive as our temporal reality. Our conscious mind processes and integrates these stimuli into a cohesive world view. As Time passes in our perception, we see the world changing. Our mind integrates all input and “sees” a fluid flow of Time and events.
We think we “see” or perceive many things. But there is only one thing. We think we see a flow of Time, but that is an illusion. It is part of the construct between our perception of right now and our perception of memory in the right now. As we look closer at Time, it stays the same. Its flow is always perceived of as even and continuous.
At the risk of drawing an analogy, it is not unlike watching a movie. Your mind sees a smooth flow of action, but in fact, no such smooth flow exists. The movie is just the rapid projection of individual still images that are not moving at all. Something called “persistence of vision” makes your mind create the movement in the construct of reality it gives to your consciousness. Well, the finest grains of Time are sort of like that.
Between each tiny grain of perceived Time, the one thing, or in other words, you, or your spirit, have moved through every point of existence in your perception. It all ties to, reflects and resonates reality from within itself. As your inner spirit, or your state of True Being, glows out, so the one thing creates the next moment of your perceived “now.” It weaves a world of perceptual stimuli that appears to flow smoothly through your senses to come together as a smooth and continually flowing Time-anchored reality.
The complexity of the “painting” is linked to the perceptual resolution of the perceiver. And you may notice that, of course, the resolution, or graininess, of reality is always consistent. Look closer and you see more.
As your construct of Time ticks forward, the world appears. And since you can not visit the future or the past, you can not verify or prove whether the whole thing continues to exist across the flow of Time. And likewise, you can not prove that it only exists in the moment. Or that it only exists in your perceptions and memory of the moment.
Being anchored within our perceptions of a Time-based reality, all we have is that which we perceive in front of us, and that which is in our memories.
This is at the heart of See Do Reality. Time does not exist. There is only one thing. The implications are staggering. As Time-based beings it is almost disturbing to even attempt to give up the idea that Time is absolute and flowing forward without interruption. And that everything in our reality is solid and exists continually across the flow of Time. But stop and think about that a moment (no pun intended).
Does the chair you’re sitting in exist somewhere else, or some-when else, besides the right here right now, where you can solidly verify its existence? Do you have multiple existences? How can you verify that something physically existed in the past without using material from the present?
We believe in Time. We believe in the past. We believe in the future. But is it anything more than belief? Yet it is the basis of the reality we live in. Without this unquestionable faith in Time, our agreed upon reality, indeed our sanity, would not hold up for very long.
If these thoughts are bothersome, I apologize. I do not mean to disturb. In my case, it took me many sessions, many questions, and many repetitions of lessons for my mind to even be able to assemble these ideas.
But this is as it was told to me. Time does not exist. There is only one thing. We create our world, then perceive it. Each moment of our “now” is created between each perceived tick of Time. And it all happens outside of Time, and all at once.
Of course it all happens outside of Time. According to See Do, the only place that Time “exists” is in the temporal reality construct inside of our heads.
Please take time with this one (another unintended pun). We’re more than halfway there. This was the big hump. Once over it, we begin to see how we can use our positive spirit energies to change the world.
Stay with me. We’re past the hardest part.

The ticking of Time is a hard thing to give up. But you won't have to. In fact, living here in temporal reality, you can't. As long as you perceive this world, you will perceive Time. But it is an illusion, none-the-less.
This is where See Do always began. And during our sessions, anytime one of my questions would reveal that I wasn’t quite getting it, this is where we would return. See Do would simply go back and we’d review it all one more time.
He’d start: “Time does not exist. But Time is all there is.” On the surface, this is a completely absurd contradiction. But as I hope you will see, there is sense to it.
It may seem odd to begin with the such difficult concepts, but this will form the foundation of understanding defining the difference between our temporal reality and what I call See Do reality (if you have a better name, please let me know.)
On the one hand, the idea that Time does not exist is obvious. Time has no substance, no weight, no mass, no physical existence in our temporal reality what-so-ever. It is just an idea. It is the thing that gives us before and after, the arrow of Time that our conscious existence moves along.
But on the other hand, this conundrum is not what See Do was talking about. What he was talking about is far more fundamental to everything that follows.
I’ll try and explain what See Do explained to me. And please don’t shoot the messenger.
As the one thing, the world we project is complete with its full retinue of cause and effect. We richly perceive a world in fluid motion, even though the effect of that in our consciousness comes through a careful weaving of memory into what we think of as the immediate perceptual input.
And as spiritual sages have said for millennia, this is an illusion. But be careful, because this really only confuses the issue by trying to bridge the two points of view. Here in our temporal reality, we fully perceive this thing we call Time (more on this in the next chapter), but for understanding See Do reality one needs to see the possibility that Time is uniquely native to our temporal reality perceptual state.
Here in our temporal reality, we see time as a solid and immutable thing. But even here, it is not. The flow can be changed depending on our perceptual state. And consciously.
We see this often. Time sometimes “flies,” sometimes “drags.” We have been taught to dismiss these irregularities. But with careful attention to your state of True Being, you can take some conscious control of this. See Do showed me how and with practice I have come to see the perceived flow of Time as somewhat malleable. Don’t be afraid to try for yourself.
So the important things are these: This thing we call Time is an artifact of our conscious perceptions within this temporal reality. Within our consciousness, it is the fabric that our remembered experience of reality is written upon. Everywhere we look, we see it flowing. And without it there would be no state changes to perceive. Outside of our conscious perceptions, outside of our temporal reality, it does not exist.
In See Do reality, all things exist as one. All endings are in all beginnings. The spirit of one is the spirit of all. All the energies, all the information that we and our science perceive as flowing through our temporal reality are there in infinite supply. Right there.
You see, without Time there is also no distance, no Space. Without the physical gap between “things” there can be no Time. And without the distinction and separateness of “things,” both Time and Space hold no currency. Energies are not “separated,” so there is no hot, no cold. No darkness, no light. Some sages and translators have called it void, nothingness, even darkness. Beyond being utterly wrong conceptually and missing the point by quite a wide mark, these ideas just add confusion.
So now we will move forward, gingerly, to better see the difference between our temporal reality and what lies behind the curtain, in See Do reality.
I hope you’ll stay for the ride.
— continued (Next: But Time is all you perceive!)

The world you experience is your canvas and you are the artist. Can you see where it all begins? Can you see inside and free your True Being? Does the world move you? Or do you move the world? There is only one answer. There is only one thing.
Near the end of an early Sunday morning session with my spirit guide, See Do, he took the time to explain a powerful tool to me. He attempted to lay out the basics of taking real power over events. I say attempted because this was no doubt the first of many such explanations and I’m not sure that I entirely get it just yet. But I will relate the message here.
See Do explained that we can take positive control of events before us. He explained that this is how we move our temporal reality. We are all moving the world around us all the time, but generally are not aware of it. Our conventional view of the world and our place in it does not generally permit this kind of power. When we think we see it happen, we laugh it off or account it to coincidence or happenstance.
We should start with the fact that neither coincidence nor happenstance exist.
If we go back to the beginning and rebuild from “There is no Time” (Chapter 3: The First Lessons) you will reach a point where you come to understand that all events are moved from this singular point that is the underlying reality. What we sense as Time and build up through our senses as Time and Space is in fact an infinitely interwoven web of contrast states of this singular point or particle (though both words are not really right).
As we move between the infinite points of view this illusion gives us, we reflect back the new viewpoint. As we apparently exist as this individual that we are, separate from this temporal reality around us, we are given to sense the temporal reality as a Space and Time construct through which we are moving forward along the ticking arrow of Time.
We build this construct out of our six biological senses and paint the result into our consciousness. However, the actual way it comes to be a consistent construct is quite a bit more complex. As you spin this web of temporal reality, you carry out information and bring information back. This residual flow is what I have talked about as “resonance”(Chapter 27: The Resonant Power Around Us). It is through our sensitivity to this energy that we can push our resonance into the world.
Just as your glowing Love moves and flows into everything around you, drawing out cooperative resonance to move the world with you, so too you can build on these resonances to bring forth movements beyond the passive cooperation the world reflects from your inner being.
The way it was explained was that it is very much like the resonance of a new idea, a piece of art, or a new and beautiful piece of music. On hearing it or seeing it for the first time there is an instantaneous general agreement on its beauty. That is the resonant pulse between us shinning through.
Some things are so right or so perfect that they have this power from their very inception.
Why is that? Because they have been formed out of this very powerful world resonance that whoever created them was open to at the perfect moment. That was the magic formula: inspiration and the will to act on it. We all have these moments, small and large.
Once, in a television interview, the singer Bob Dylan was explaining that he was once again getting back into song writing. The interviewer asked him if he thought he’d be able to write like he used to. Dylan answered “Can I write like that again? Darkness at the break of noon shadows even the silver spoon, the handmade blade, the child’s balloon, eclipses both the sun and moon… To understand you know too soon… that he not busy being born is busy dying… Can I write like that? Who can write like that? I don’t know who can write like that.” It was like he was saying he did not know how these words came through him. Also interesting that he misquoted his own piece slightly, mixing two stanzas. But we’ll forgive him.
When asked how he came up with his Theory of Relativity, Albert Einstein responded “I felt like God was leading me around by the nose.” It was like he was saying that this great inspiration had come from a higher place and that he could not fully take credit.
There are very powerful resonances moving between us at the level of our highest selves. At the level of our True Being. Tapping into this flow of energy is very powerful. With its cooperation and sympathetic movement you can move the world around you.
How do we get there? It is exactly as it has been said. You must see and do. You must see into yourself and create your True Being. This is the self that is forgiven and forgiving and honorable and lovely (Chapter 10: Forgive Yourself Completely). This is the self that forgives all past transgressions and knows its true passions. This is the self that is one with the knowledge of what you want. This is the self that feels an overriding pure love for itself and shines this love out into the world. This is the self that accepts the entire world as its beautiful creation and lives in acceptance and contemplation of the beauty of its power.
Moving within this True Self you can reach a higher sensitivity to the resonances around you. You can carry out and amplify those vibrations or messages or energies that are one with your higher True Being. And you can shut off and unplug the energies that are not. You can be open to the greater inspirations carried on these winds.
Some of these resonances will seem to carry more weight as they align with our True Being. With practice we can feel and focus these resonances. You see, you are the artist. When you open your eyes and see, you see a world before you that, in fact, is your canvas. And as you can see, and should fearlessly appreciate, you have been very busy. Your talents are immense. In fact, they are immeasurable. And now you can free yourself to paint with a focused vision.
Feeling the energies, you will know how to move the world. In truth it will simply move with you. It will come like an idea or an inspiration. You will have an idea of what to do and with your will it will be done. In perfect alignment with your higher self, in perfect step with your True Being, you will be able to call the tune. The world will appear to dance for you.
When the resonance of your highest self is carrying forth this power from within, the resonance of your wishes becomes instantly obvious – and it happens.
That is how it came to me. The way to move the world is there within us. Our higher self is there within us right now. There are energies flowing all around us and through us. Infinite energies in infinite connections. These are the reigns of the universe. Your higher self is holding them. You just haven’t told it where to go.
Making that contact with that self within, if even for a moment, will unleash great power to you. You will feel it. The inspiration of this new world is there for all of us. You now need to work in the present to see. And to feel these higher energies around us.
See Do explained that it is like the chicken and the egg. It comes to you and you amplify it through your inner glow and shine it back out. The events that take place? They came from where? Did I move the world? Or did the world move me?
I ask and he takes me back to the beginning. Time does not exist. Everything is connected. There is only one.
— continued (Next, I ask “Is the Future Set?”)

When does your spirituality become more than a beautiful view of the world? When does knowing the truth mature into accepting the responsibility? And when does it take on some urgency? Are we there yet?
For the first time I realize that when my spirit guide, See Do, has said “Time does not exist. There is no Time.” that it has two meanings. Time does not exist. It is an illusion. But also I now am coming to understand that there may be some urgency to See Do’s simple instruction.
I realize more than ever that he is telling me what to do. The instruction is clear and precise. He is telling me what I need to know how to affect the events of Life. Of humanity. He is saying that it is not a game, it is a responsibility.
I have been given to witness many small events unfold. We have “called in” many things. But he says that essentially, these have been parlor tricks. Done to make the point. And now we can all move on to begin to move the world. To affecting the soul of Life. We are all one. Everything is connected.
And so it is beginning. I know that there is so much ahead. Great sadness but even greater joys. It is all here within. Every beginning and every ending. The course to unfold is open to all of us. It is there in our glow within, the light that we must give out in order to come to see the best in each other.
We must see. We must do.
But truly seeing requires a true understanding. And an openness to the mystery. We are all connected. And we will help each other. We are nearby.
There is no Time.
And there is much work to do.
